What things might prevent me from being able to have dental implants?

There are some dental and some medical reasons for not being able to have dental implants. Most of these contraindications for dental implants can be controlled or removed allowing almost anyone to have dental implants.

The dental reasons include gum disease, tooth clenching or grinding and poor quality or volume of bone. The medical reasons include diabetes, diseases of immunity, smoking and diet.
